This gift of life

I’m packing up my room now, again — (I’m heading off to Nepal on Wednesday – my love — I am so humbled and excited to receive the volunteer coordinator position with All Hands Volunteers),

and of course this means finding old journals and papers and having sometime of mad reflection. I’d like to share a journal entry, my college graduation ceremony speech I wrote…

at the ceremony
” As this chapter started coming to a close, I started to reflect on the chapter of my life here. I sat by the river and watched the sun set over our city, a dolphin came right on up to the edge and a lightning show took place in front of me. I saw these as the greatest messages to me, saying “everything is alright, good job, you’re exactly where you need to be.” I couldn’t be more thankful for this experience, for all the beautiful souls I’ve encountered here, for who I’ve become and how far I’ve grown because of you all. How amazing is it, thinking back on these last years. I could not have dreamt of a better experience. There certainly is a plan for us all and us being here was certainly meant to be. We are incredible individuals that can thrive wherever we go, creating great friendships, and we will forever learn and grow. I thank God, and you all, for this gift of life.

Peace be with you.

You are love and tremendously loved.

Here’s to new places to explore.

We will bring light wherever we go.

You don’t need to know or prove anything. Just to be, to take a risk and enjoy your life, that is all that matters.

Yesterday was yesterday, today is today, and tomorrow is a new day. Focus on today because yesterday already passed. Today is what matters.”

It is amazing when we look back at the years, how much that has happened – all very unplanned and unexpected but better than we could have planned. I am excited for my new journey- and will be sending love and light onward and to you, always. Namaste xxx
